AnaLaura Becerra Joins Greater Irvine Chamber Staff

AnaLaura Becerra, CMP, CTA, has joined the Greater Irvine Chamber professional staff as Director of Corporate Sales for Destination Irvine. In this role, Becerra promotes Irvine as a corporate meeting, convention and event destination to meeting and event planners in the local, regional, state, and targeted national meetings markets to generate group hotel room nights through overnight stays.

“I’m looking forward to working with hotels and other venues to showcase Irvine to visitors and to attract corporate, government, and association groups to the city for their meetings and overnight stays,” Becerra said.

Prior to joining the Chamber staff, Becerra was a national sales manager at Alliedpra, Inc., a marketing destination management company. Leading up to that, Becerra broadened her experience in the tourism industry at these well-known international companies: Marriott, Hilton, Korean Air, and Malaysia Airlines.

“AnaLaura is highly regarded in the hospitality industry and came strongly recommended,” said Wendy Haase, senior director, Destination Irvine. “Through her sales efforts, AnaLaura will play a role in generating economic impact for Irvine hotels and the Irvine business community.

Becerra serves on the Meeting Professionals International Board of Directors. In 2017 she was named the organization’s Orange County Chapter Rising Star of the Year. She also served for five years on the Hospitality Sales Managers Association International - San Diego Chapter Board of Directors. She holds a bachelor’s in tourism management from Universidad Anáhuac in Mexico City. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
